Danh bạThe Vietnamese Victims of Agent Orange TrustThis Trust was set up in Australia to help the forgotten people of a forgotten war.Its latest project is to raise enough money to buy 75 cows for Agent Orange victims in Phong Dien district north of Hue in central Vietnam. It wants to do so by August 2008. See The Cows Project. We recently handed over 65 cows to families in the A Loui district, west of Hue in central Vietnam. The money was raised internationally as well as in Australia. There were heroic fundraising efforts, such as that of the women of Legacy at Claremont in southern Tasmania. They raised more than $2000 at a single luncheon in the local RSL hall where there were stalls, door raffles, etc. All the money we receive, 100 per cent, goes to the recipients in Vietnam. We bear all other costs ourselves. Our supporters come from around the world and include office workers, businesspeople, professionals, war widows, pensioners and others on fixed incomes.
